Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Local More Local LLC (“Local More Local,” “we,” “us”) operates localmorelocal.com, an AI-assisted home service marketplace for homeowners and contractors in the Coachella Valley, California. We provide project diagnosis, contractor discovery, and a private connection platform where homeowners choose which contractors receive their contact information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, our homeowner and contractor accounts, dashboards, and the emails and notifications we send you.

2. Information we collect

• Identifiers & contact information — your name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code, collected when you request a quote, create an account, or download a diagnosis. Phone number is optional unless you are a contractor claiming a company profile.
• Project information — the service category, your description of the problem, photos or details you type into the chat, your optional budget range, and the ZIP code where the work is needed.
• Account information — your login email, password hash, and profile details; notification preferences; and, for contractors, company name, license information, service ZIP codes, category, website, and membership status.
• Bids, messages, and connection activity — quotes or messages contractors submit on projects, homeowner selections of contractors, and records of marketplace connections.
• Payment information — contractor membership fees are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers; Stripe handles card data under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Internet and usage activity — pages viewed, referring source, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and interactions with the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
• Communications — messages you send us and our replies, including status updates about your project, bids, and account.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health information, or other sensitive personal information as defined by California law. Please do not send it to us. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16, and we do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.

3. How we use your information

• To generate an AI-assisted diagnosis and cost estimate for your project.
• To display anonymized project opportunities to contractors and allow them to request to participate or submit a bid.
• To facilitate the marketplace connection: when a homeowner selects a contractor, we share the homeowner’s contact details with that contractor so they can follow up on the work requested.
• To create and maintain homeowner and contractor accounts, dashboards, and notification preferences.
• To process contractor membership subscriptions, connection fees, and related billing through Stripe.
• To email or notify you about project updates, bids, messages, contractor invitations, and account activity.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the site, and to measure the performance of our marketing.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Who we disclose information to

Contractors — the marketplace model. The core purpose of this service is to connect you with local pros. Until you choose a contractor, your project is shown to eligible contractors in an anonymized form (no name, email, phone, or exact address). Once you select a contractor by clicking “Move Forward” or a similar action, we disclose your name, email address, phone number (if you provided it), ZIP code, project description, and budget range to that contractor so they can contact you. This is a disclosure for a business purpose at your request. We may also record a connection fee or contractor membership event at that point. Once a contractor has your information, their own privacy practices apply to how they use it — we do not control them.

Service providers. We use vendors who process information only on our instructions and for our business purposes, including our website and database hosting provider, our transactional email provider, our AI model provider (which processes the text of your chat to produce a response), our analytics and advertising measurement providers, and Stripe (which processes contractor membership payments and connection fees).

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads tags, which may transmit online identifiers and activity to Google for advertising measurement and remarketing. That activity can legally constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, so we treat it that way. You can opt out at any time through Your Privacy Choices (Do Not Sell or Share) in the footer, and we automatically detect and honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as a valid opt-out request before any advertising data is transmitted. Opting out never affects sign-in, security, or other strictly necessary site functionality.

5. Cookie & analytics disclosure

We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage technologies. The table below describes every category we run today.

We operate Google Consent Mode v2. When you decline analytics or advertising cookies, we send a denied consent signal to Google, which suppresses those cookies and limits the tag to cookieless, aggregated pings. Where enhanced conversions are used, contact details are hashed in your browser before transmission and only after you have granted advertising consent. Because our advertising cookies may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, an opt-out — whether you set it here or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal — is applied before any advertising hit is sent and is remembered on future visits from that browser.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link (also in the site footer). You can additionally control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, and manage ad personalization in your Google account. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request under California law.

6. Google Ads lead forms

Some of our ads may use Google Ads lead forms. When you submit your name, email, phone number, or project details through a Google lead form, that information is collected and processed by Google on our behalf so we can contact you about your quote request. We act as the controller of the information once it is transferred to us, and we use it only for the purposes described in this policy — primarily to match you with local contractors and follow up on your request. Google’s use of the data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy and advertising terms. We do not sell lead form submissions, and we do not use them for cross-context behavioral advertising; we keep them for the retention period described in Section 8.

7. AI-generated content

Diagnoses, likely-cause explanations, and repair cost ranges on this site are generated by an AI model from the information you provide. The text you enter into the chat is sent to our AI provider to produce that response and is retained by us as part of your request record. AI output is informational only, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and is not a formal bid, an inspection, or professional repair, engineering, legal, financial, or safety advice. Always confirm with a licensed professional before acting on it.

8. How long we keep information

We retain projects, quote requests, contact details, project descriptions, bids, messages, generated quote PDFs, and marketplace connection records for 24 months after your last activity with us, after which they are deleted or de-identified. Account records are kept while your account is open and for 24 months after you close it. Contractor membership and payment records are kept for as long as necessary for billing, tax, and legal compliance. We keep records longer only where a law, tax obligation, or legal dispute requires it. Signed links to quote PDFs expire after 90 days.

9. Security

Information is transmitted over TLS and stored in an access-controlled database with row-level access rules. Homeowners can only see their own projects and connected contractors; contractors can only see their own profile, eligible opportunities, bids, and the project details they are connected to; and only authorized administrators can access administrative records. Quote PDFs are stored in a private bucket and reachable only through expiring signed links. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to.
• Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
• Correct inaccurate personal information — you can also do this yourself in your dashboard profile.
• Opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell personal information for money, but our advertising cookies may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. Use the Your Privacy Choices (Do Not Sell or Share) link in our footer, or browse with Global Privacy Control enabled — we detect and honor that signal automatically, confirm it on screen, and remember it on that browser. No account or verification is required to opt out.
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right.
• Non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

How to submit a request. Email contact@localmorelocal.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request” and tell us which right you are exercising. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, extendable by another 45 days if we notify you. To protect your information, we verify requests by matching the email address and other information on file with your project or account; we may ask for additional details if we cannot match you. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission signed by you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity.

In the 12 months before the effective date of this policy, we collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2, for the purposes in Section 3, and disclosed identifiers, contact information, project details, and bids to contractors and service providers for the business purposes described in Section 4. We sold no personal information. We may have shared online identifiers and internet activity with Google through our advertising cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising, except where a visitor opted out or sent a Global Privacy Control signal.

11. Residents of other states

If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law that grants access, correction, deletion, or opt-out rights, you may exercise those rights using the same contact method above and we will honor them on the same terms.

12. Changes to this policy

We will post any updates on this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes to how we disclose your information will be described here before they take effect.
